Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 April 2025
Effective date: 25 April 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Horolux website at horoluxaad.world and the watch repair services offered by Horolux at 27-3A Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. By submitting an enquiry or bringing a watch for service, you agree to these terms.
1. Definitions
- "We", "Us", "Our" — Horolux, a watch repair workshop registered and operating in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- "You", "Customer" — any individual who uses this website or brings a timepiece to our workshop for assessment or service.
- "Services" — the watch repair, servicing, and restoration work described on this website and in our intake documentation.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with any intake note or service quotation provided to you in writing.
- "Watch" or "Timepiece" — the item you leave in our custody for assessment, quotation, or service work.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or by leaving a watch with us for service, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- You are the lawful owner of the watch, or have the owner's explicit authorisation to arrange service on their behalf.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
3. Service Description
Horolux currently offers three workshop services:
- Battery & Quartz Movement Service — battery replacement, gasket inspection, and basic bench assessment for quartz timepieces.
- Mechanical Service for Three-Hand Movements — full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, timing, and regulation for non-chronograph mechanical watches.
- Vintage Restoration Programme — a staged, documentation-led service for older mechanical watches requiring conservation-minded attention.
All services are subject to a prior bench assessment. We reserve the right to decline service where the condition of a watch makes it unsuitable for the scope described, and will advise you accordingly before any work begins.
4. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the watch and any known history of prior service or damage.
- Collect your watch within 30 days of notification that the service has been completed. After 90 days with no contact, we reserve the right to treat the item as abandoned.
- Use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with its operation, submit false or misleading information, or harvest data from it without our written permission.
- Disclose if the watch has any known defects, modifications, or prior repair history that may affect our work.
5. Intake and Custody
When you leave a watch with us, we will issue an intake note recording the watch's condition at drop-off. We take reasonable care of all items in our custody. However:
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, ageing, or undisclosed defects that become apparent during disassembly.
- We maintain appropriate workshop insurance for items in our care. Customers with high-value watches should confirm their own insurance coverage prior to leaving the piece with us.
- Photographs of the watch condition at intake are available upon request.
6. Pricing and Payment
Prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of labour and standard parts unless otherwise stated. Service prices shown on this website are indicative starting points. The final amount will be confirmed in writing before work begins.
- A quotation is provided before any service commences. Work will not begin until you approve it.
- Payment is due in full upon collection of the watch. We accept cash and common card payment methods at the workshop.
- If a quotation is accepted and then withdrawn before work is complete, we reserve the right to charge for any bench time and parts already committed.
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. If we are unable to complete a service due to parts availability or condition of the watch, we will return the piece with a written explanation and no charge for work not performed.
7. Turnaround Times
Turnaround estimates are provided in good faith but are not contractually binding:
- Battery and quartz services are typically completed same-day for straightforward cases.
- Mechanical services for three-hand movements typically require 2–3 weeks.
- Vintage Restoration Programme timelines are discussed and agreed upon individually, given the staged nature of the work.
We will inform you of any significant delay. Extended timelines may arise due to parts sourcing, complexity discovered on the bench, or workshop capacity.
8. Intellectual Property

11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Horolux, its staff, and representatives harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misrepresentation of ownership or authority over a watch, or your misuse of this website.
12. Termination
You may cancel a service request before bench work has commenced by contacting us in writing. We may decline to provide or continue a service if:
- We have reasonable grounds to believe the watch is stolen or subject to a dispute of ownership.

- The condition of the watch falls outside the scope of the service requested.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us directly in the first instance. Most matters can be resolved informally and promptly.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement — these Terms, together with any intake note or quotation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Horolux for the relevant service.
- Severability — if any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver — our failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment — you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
- Notices — correspondence should be sent to [email protected] or to our workshop address.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. Revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website or services after a revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
